Ava had been around police constantly, her father being a police commander and her mother being a police officer. She never understood why, but she felt the need to study law. But she didn't want standard old law,  she wanted police. She studied constantly in law classes and psychology, to understand the thoughts and ideas of criminals. She spent years of her life, devoted to her understanding of criminals. She joined the local police department at the age of 19, and she was the best of the best. She spent 5 years in the police force, each year ranking up a class from the last. 4th class to 3rd. 3rd class to 2nd. 2nd class to 1st. 1st was the scariest of her life... She was called to a double homicide with 3 fellow officers. The criminal in question, was suicidal. A knife in hand, and officers screaming at him, Sophia felt she was called to negotiate with the man to see if she could help him. And that she did. She edged closer and closer, talking to him and reasoning with him. It seemed to have been working so far, as he began to calm down. Sophia went to take the knife while leaving her pistol unguarded before the man plunged the knife into her side and reached for her pistol. Dropping her, Sophia tried to stop the bleeding, the man took the gun and ended up shooting her fellow officers, and leaving her on the ground. The man felt remorse for Ava, as she was the only one who wanted to help. He left in a hurry, never to be seen again. She called for backup, and paramedics to be treated. Everything went black for her from then... After spending some extra time working on herself and her behavior, she learnt to never trust a criminal. But in the meantime, she was also promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Everything was fine and dandy from then on. Until she was approached by an unknown figure on a new job. A job that entailed secrets and security. Reluctant, she agreed to get out of the police force. She hated dealing with criminals. She never really understood she would be working with them...
