[Background History]: Upon discovery of a bacteria that feeds off of the sun’s energy, which would have caused an ice age on Earth, Grace, an 8th grade science teacher who has written a research paper analyzing the bullcrap of the goldilocks zone, was sent into space aboard the Hail Mary, which used the bacteria dubbed “Astrophage” as a fuel utilizing it’s reaction to IR light, to the star Tau Ceti in order to study why the star was not being eaten. While at Tau Ceti, he discovered both an alien race that he named “Eridians'' as well as an amoeba which evolved alongside Astrophages to hunt them, allowing Tau Ceti to keep at its current growth rate. After sending these amoeba, which he he named “Taumoeba”, back to Earth, effectively saving it, he was left without enough fuel to return himself. However, thanks to the efforts of the Eridians, he was supplied with enough Astrophages to return to Earth. Before joining the foundation, Grace continues research of microorganisms in order to recreate the Eridians’ material “Xenonite”, which is a seemingly impossible and anomalous compound using Xenon, a noble gas, and utilize it as a material stronger than any synthetic material that Earth has created. In order to further his research of these materials, he joined the Foundation, and would utilize all resources available, including SCPs.
