Hello sorry for the delay in the submission of this report there were some miscommunications with the logistics department that have now been solved. Today I'm submitting this in response to the Area 36 project to develop weapons and devices designed to combat SCP-610. My SCP-610 Repulsion Device Mk 1 is one of such device to repel or destroy SCP-610 instances or Sarktic entities at range.
This device was designed using data from my research at Site 48 while a researcher was there, my study of Sarktic entities, and data from SCP-610’s containment zones, and my experiments with similar devices. The device is a ground-mounted container with an external shell capable of containing high levels of radiation for extended periods, and can be opened using a remote control or by using a motion sensor. The Interior holds the core which is any number of radiation-producing devices or substances.
In the past data has shown SCP-610 has an aversion to radiation, and through my test, at Site 48 it was discovered that prolonged exposure to radiation causes SCP-610’s cellular structure to breakdown, noticeably faster than normal life forms. This has proven the case with alpha and beta radiation. Tests with gamma and neutron radiation have never been conducted due to logistics and safety issues however it is suspected that instances would suffer similarly if not increased effects. Tests on other Sarktic entities have never been conducted however I plan to request such tests be conducted in due time.
The device is simple to use and deploy, and unlike flame-repulsion devices, these cannot be so easily disabled. Normally when encountering similar devices SCP-610 instances will use brute force to destroy or combined cellular mass to clog and destroy. However, the degradation of cellular mass will continue to work even if the SCP-610 instances attempt either strategy. Finally, these devices have been reinforced against the low end of brute force capabilities of SCP-610 instances but could easily be further reinforced.
I hope this device is to satisfaction and will be able to see use in repelling both SCP-610 and Sarktic entities shortly. If you have any questions let me know, I've attached a folder with data, costs, and images of the device in use, as well as sources to my data.
