# oXt29-4A9auCwbIKHello!
With the server's recent update causing it to be down for a few days, I wanted to take the opportunity to explain and push how to use the forums for Roleplay!
See, I've decided to get the ball rolling with my recent email too all security. If you haven't read it yet, you can find it here!
Using E-Mails like this is a great way to communicate with an offline player or group of players ICly and in mass, it also provides a log of what you told them so you can prove communication was made, in case that needs to be used for some reason.
Additionally, you can review reports you have access to in order to gain some IC knowledge you might now have otherwise. This is extraordinarily useful. Especially if you've been offline for a minute and want to catch up ICly with all the events that have happened!
Character profiles! Read them, ask to be added to them, update yours, create one for characters you don't have one for yet, the possibilities are endless.
Also another reminder of this, but ALL INFORMATION EXCEPT RELATIONS (unless stated otherwise) IS IN CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE,granted you have the right clearance level.
Pro-tip, use that information for in-game RP, ChatRP, or to just learn about your peers!
Make IC requests or complaints putting all this together.
Got an issue with a specific person not doing their job? E-Mail your superior.
You're S.O.C. and someone does something you deem important to keep note of? Post that note on a Access Restricted Note on their character profile.
Literally anything outside of actually shooting somebody can be done on the forums!!!!!
Security Chief Horno - Still somehow alive
"How am I not dead yet??"
Vault Security Agent Muller - Alive
"Well, I got that promotion."
