SCP-131 Drawing Experiment and Differences Test;(12/5/2022)

Conducted by Dr. Cinga Solomon

Authorized by N/A

Equipment/Material(s) Used: Finger Paints(Black, Yellow, Red, Blue, Brown), many large strips of paper, cleaning supplies

Personnel Involved: Janitorial Staff

SCP(s) or UA(s) Involved: SCP-131-A and SCP-131-B

Purpose of Test:

To better identify how SCP-131 think and if they think separate thoughts about similar or the same prompts. This test comes under the assumption that SCP-131 understands how paint works and may need to be shown how before testing can begin.

Hypothesis:

SCP-131-A and -B will likely need to be prompted on how to draw at first but after they understand that they can, they will be able to handle prompts without assistance. I also believe that even when separated SCP-131-A and -B will draw similar items for the same prompt. Worst case scenario they simply scribble over the pages.

Test Procedures:

Step 1:Lead SCP-131-A and -B into a Research Wing spare room and demonstrate what I am looking for from them by showing and saying a prompt then drawing out a test prompt or two(ie Circle, or Square) with paint. Their paintings will likely be cruel since they will need to ride over the paper with their wheels.

Step 2: With SCP-131 still in the same room together I will then give differing and simple prompts such as "8", "Cat", "Tree", "SCP-131(or Eyedrop if they are confused)", "Hammer", "SCP-173". Afterwards the paintings will be collected, labelled, and marked 'A' or 'B' for review before moving on to the next step.

Step 3: Separate the two SCPs to separate rooms I can monitor and give them the same prompt from the following list: "Friend", "Foe", "Creator", "Good", "Evil". Gather the papers one at a time all while labelling and marking them 'A' or 'B' for post test review.

Final Step: Once they are finished I will gather the papers and begin analyzing them for oddities or concerns. After that is all said and done I will document the results and post the images drawn in a separate addendum under the same document.

Observations:

First prompt was black paint and a Square. SCP-131-B drew infinite Loops, likely following the trail it left, and SCP-131-A followed. Second prompt was "Tree" were I dipped their wheels in brown paint. SCP-131-A drew a stick while SCP-131-B drew another infinite loop. Next I prompted "SCP-131" with red paint SCP-131-B drew scribbles over the page while SCP-131-A drew a circle with a dot in the middle. When prompted "SCP-173" with yellow paint SCP-131-B drew scribbles again, and SCP-131-A did the same. Next I separated them from each other into different rooms and prompted "Friend" with Yellow paint for 'A', and red paint for B SCP-131-A crudely drew SCP-131-B, while SCP-131-B continued with scribbles. Still separate and skipping the "Foe" prompt I came to the "Creator" prompt with Black paint, both drew only scribbles. Last two prompt I used was "Good" with Blue paint and "Evil" with brown paint. Both SCPs drew only scribbles for these prompts.

Analysis and Conclusion:

My initial analysis prompts me to conclude that SCP-131-A likely possesses a slightly higher brain function then SCP-131-B. Reviewing the drawings I wasn't able to discern any deeper meaning from the scribbles of either SCPs cases, I will still post them in the addendum incase others wish to try. While the experiment was somewhat successful it leaves wanting, perhaps for other tests down the line we could provide positive reinforcement for drawings that aren't scribbles. Eyedrops could incentivize the SCPs to draw something of sustenance rather than scribbling about the paper with their wheels.

Additional Notes:

Check addendum for drawings.

// since SCP-131 can't pick up Items to use drawing paper it was all over /me so there won't be real drawings in the addendum, sorry.
