SCP-208 Interview and Origin Examination;(12/6/2022)
Conducted by Dr. Cinga Solomon
Authorized by N/A
Equipment/Material(s) Used: Notepad
Personnel Involved: Myself
SCP(s) or UA(s) Involved: SCP-208
Purpose of Test:
Identify how SCP-208 came into contact with its anomalous power and the origin of SCP-208 as a whole.
Hypothesis:
SCP-208 will likely have forgotten much of his past but there can still be some useful information to glean from DNA Tests.
Interview Process:
After securing SCP-208 for a interview and moving to a secure location in Research Wing(to avoid interference by any breaches) I will begin running through a series of question to help better understand SCP-208's origin and how he came about this ability to heal. After a brief introduction to establish friendly intentions I will move on to the questions. The Introduction and Questions are as followed:
Good evening SCP-208, my name is Doctor Cinga Solomon and I will be interviewing you today regarding some basic information you know about yourself. Before we begin, do you have any objections to this interview?
How are you today SCP-208, or would you prefer me call you 'Bes'?
Has your time at the facility caused you any grieve as of late?
What do you recall from your recovery by initial SCP Staff? (If he doesn't remember I will fill a select few details to tell him.)
Do you recall anything before they removed you from the granite?
How about Childhood, do you have any memories of when you were young?
Would you be able to lay out a timeline on paper of what else you remember?
Lastly A bit of an odd question... Lets say you have no one in the morning to wake you up, no one to tell you when to eat, no one to tell you when to sleep. What would you call that?
Test Procedures:
As the interview concludes I will ask SCP-208 if he is fine with extracting a sample of blood from himself with a needle I will provide. If he accepts I will run the blood through our genetics machinery and see if I can run the results through a preexisting database to trace his heritage. These results will not be shared with SCP-208 unless approved by someone in a higher standing than I.
Observations:
Transcript of answers in order. White for SCP-208, Black for myself.
"I'm doing Okay"
"No."
"Uh... Well... I mean you know... that was kind of a while ago... Geez, haven't had anyone ask me that in a while, but all I remember was that you guys found me on the Nile, I was going fishing." my response "Yes if I recall they found you imbedded in granite." his reply "Oh Yeah, something like that." "Do you know how you managed to get embedded in granite?" "Uh, no."
"I don't Think so"
"No" "nothing in particular at all?" "nuh-uh"
"No Probably not." "Any reason for this?" "I don't know man that was a few hundred years ago." "Are you ever curious about the memory of your past?" "Uh no, not really. Seems kind of run of the mill normal to me. What you never wake up in granite?"
"Umm, Independence?" For context, this is a psychological question designed to gauge ones outlook on life, a typical response would be "Freedom" or "Lonely".
I proceeded to gather a sample of SCP-208's blood for testing. The microscopic view of the blood showed it to be standard and healthy human blood. The Genetics revealed SCP-208 is 70% Egyptian, 15% Hebrew, 10% Greek, and 5% Persian. Unfortunately I was not able to track his heritage but perhaps someone with more knowledge of genetics could pull that off.
Analysis and Conclusion:
I was unable to gather much useable information but that is how these things go sometimes. As for the last question of the interview however, I believe I can use the answer to get a better understanding of SCP-208's thoughts and feelings if I dig deeper. Who knows, maybe I help SCP-208 remember more from his past if I can understand what causes him to not want to remember.
Additional Notes:
If I have additional time I will attempt to upload the video of the interview
