SCP Breach Timer + SCP Flag Approval

  • When a player flags up as an SCP, they must request approval from staff to play, along with a summary of what they wish to do as the SCP. This can range from passiveRP to standard murder-breaching.

Why?: The staff team has full control on how much SCP-related chaos is happening in the server. Code blacks now only happen if staff let it happen.

  • When approved, the SCP player undergoes a breach timer before breaching containment. The breach is inevitable, and the timer has a duration depending on how threatening the SCP is.

Why?: This cuts out the common situation of waiting in your cell just for 2 minutes of interaction. These two ideas also allow for SCPs that historically haven’t had breach timers due to being too dangerous to now have them, as well as giving SCP players room to provoke interesting passiveRP situations that they otherwise couldn’t due to human players optimizing the possibility out of their breach timers. (Also, we should remove all instances of “Cell RP” with no benefit because it’s a blatant disrespect to the player’s time.)

5:00 timer(Low Threat / Common Keters):
1370, 2006, 2292*, 2300, 5151, etc

7:30 timer (Manageable / Only threatening when mishandled):
049, 082, 397*, 457, 1048, 2337, etc

10:00 (Threatening):
035, 076*, 939, 953, 3114, etc

12:30 (Murder Machines):
079, 096, 106, etc

15:00 (Him):
682

*= I want to rework these to work better with this idea.

INCORPORATE D-CLASS INTO RECONTAINMENT!!

  • SCPs that can be reasonably contained with untrained D-Class, such as 035, 096, 2006, 2300 artwork, etc should have D-class incorporated into their containment procedures and enforced by the staff team ICly and OOCly.

Why?: D-Class roleplay sucks and everyone knows it. Everyone also knows that playing as SCPs kinda suck, so lets combine both of these efforts into one. This suggestion will promote stimulating roleplay as Class-D as well as expose them to interesting roleplay outside of “SID throws a class-D at murder machine > they die > back to D-Block!”

While i think this is a good idea in concept i don't think lower threat SCPs like 2300, 5151, 912, 343, and 2337 should have to go directly to the admins to flag up 939 also has an auto breach timer much like 173 where there cell opens automatically, this also in my opinion undermines people who buy the VIPs as some of them are specifically gunning for SCPS that have breach timers like that. I think a good middle ground is for the inevitable breach timer to be put under asking the admins to do so in which all other breach timers are paused until said SCP either is re-contained or has been out for a specified amount of time based on the SCP.

Provided breaches can be approved by even a regular admin, so as to not require the really high staff, i support

My main issue is the idea of limiting people flagging to scps or d class who actually do enjoy d block rp or "cell rp", I think finding ways to make them more useful or better should be the goal and adding breach timers to all scps, or more request abilities and such and working with staff to expand rp should be the goal.

Adding d class to nearly all scp recontainment is a must though
