I have compiled some tips and tricks that SCP players may find useful in their misadventures. Naturally, this list is ever-expanding as I or others discover new strategies.
If you have stratagems to add to this thread, comment below! Keep in mind that the optimal strategy should never be "To be as lethal as possible" but rather "to enrich the roleplay for everyone involved as much as possible."
SCP-049
If a character is injured (Wounded or below), they have most likely sustained damage to their uniform, allowing you a way to touch their skin through a BCU or Hazmat suit. Having a bind detailing you touching their skin through the uniform's damage will cut down the amount of times you get bullied by a considerable amount. Some characters may say "I changed my suit" in defense, but unless they can prove it, staff will usually lean towards your favor.
Try to utilize intimidation tactics to get your way. 049 is one scary motherfucker that gets bullied by SID if he doesn't utilize everything at his disposal. Characters that lose an intimidation roll will usually respect the passiveRP prompt and hesitate to recontain you for a few vital moments.
SCP-049 is more reliant on social roleplay than other characters due to his personality being more akin to a human being than other anomalies. Playing 049 to kill as many people as possible is just going to get you recontained with 0 hesitation and 0 foundation-granted benefits. Try to spare people whenever possible, but don't forget your goal. Rolling to see who is diseased is usually the best way to do this - I usually deem anyone who rolls 85+ as clean.
5151 has very old school thinking and showing them off let's players know he isn't just a 912 styled character but a actual threat and ally. His word is his bond and he will protect any female characters more so than any male, 5151 can be used as a Bodyguard and help in all aspects of defense as long as no one breaks his code.
Training is one of 5151s more important aspects and bring the most out of his roleplay, to allowing you to show that no matter how skilled a fighter these mtf may be, 5151 can always find a flaw to make them better is key.
Binds - 5151s weapon is not the most damaging in actual combat rp, but the use of binds to initiate/mes allows you to use the full effectiveness of swordsmanship but remember you cannot do a full /me kill, you must first complete 3 successful /mes before a kill. [Aka same as knockout rule]
5151 is a keter class scp and don't forget such things, he has one of the highest roll bonuses and therefore can cause many problems of someone messes with him, he cannot be cuffed or tackled as he can phase through solid objects at will and doesn't take kindly to insults or threats
Abel is a unique SCP, because he is all brain and all brawn, use this to your advantage. Abel isn't some mindless idiot, he's a experienced warrior, he's fought all kinds of people, Romans, Knights, Etc. Treat Abel like a human with aggressive actions, instead of just killing a researcher blocking a door, change it to "/me Abel would walk up to the man, staring him down with clenched fists." Then roll for intimidation, its the little details that counts.
Abel can make swords whenever he wants, getting pinned down? Try and pull a sword out and stab them to get them off of you, use your creativity to your advantage. Trying to kill a SCP like 912 or 5151? But they're immortal! Yes, you cant kill them, but you can use brute strength. Snap 5151's neck to slow him down, rip 912's head off, slam 082 into a wall and beat him unconscious.
Give Abel personality, have you noticed a specific security member killing you recently? Have Abel respect him, target him, or just downright interact with him. The choice is yours, Abel is a living being with his own thoughts on how he does things. Abel can be a mindless brute slamming people into walls, or a quiet war general planning his next move. Notice a high ranking member like Captain or even MTF Commander? Have Abel interact with them, add flair to it. Turn ignoring their rank and killing them into "/me Abel would spot the captain, stabbing his sword into the ground as he raises his fist. "Are you deserving of this rank? Show me why you earned it."
Lastly, have fun. Play Abel your own way, Abel has been alive for thousands of years, he has knowledge of every fighting style, every move, every sword technique, play him YOUR way, want to be a mindless superhuman brute? Calm and collected? Disrespectful and Arrogant? Respectful? Do it your own way, make it unique, have fun.
