TRT Incident Report #0011

Incident Date: 1/6/23

Somehow a Janitor found their way into a hostage situation at the hands of Class D personnel, it is not entirely certain how he got into D-block, but quick action was made to rescue him by TRT personnel. D-class stole the janitor's radio and ordered a ransom in an attempt to escape the facility. TRT Operatives: "Jay," Floyd, and Black were instructed to clear the hostage situation and get the hostage out safely, (temporary) STF Agent Browning assisted slightly with the start of the situation while TRT Captain Knox was on overwatch via cameras. The hostage was seen over cameras in the D-block showers. Halfway through the hostage scenario, D-class were given all they demanded, managed to construct an IED, and placed it on the hostage's back. D-class would then use the situation to demand more from TRT personnel handling negotiation, before Captain Knox left the camera room to assist in hostage scenario. D-class ended up asking for a Level 3 Keycard, and shortly after an opening was found, TRT Captain Knox, and Operatives Floyd and Black moved in with an unknown GENSEC Sergeant and cleared all but one D-class who was hiding behind the hostage with a so called "Dead Man's Switch" on the hostage. Captain Knox proceeded to call the D-class's bluff and terminated the D-class. D-block was quickly locked down with Captain Knox and Specialist "Jay" moving to attempt to defuse the bomb. Captain Knox proceeded to cut off the attached bomb on the back of the hostage's clothes, and remove the detonator from the explosive shortly before the explosion. Captain Knox reported that Specialist "Jay" did not help in the defusal of the bomb, and a short argument ensued later.

Knox's Personal Note:

"After the situation that happened today I am disappointed with Operatives 'Jay', Black, and Floyd, I expect you to do better. I wanted the situation to be a training scenario, not a train wreck. This better not happen again, you are supposed to be the best of GENSEC."

"Specialist 'Jay,' next time you are at a bomb scenario, attempt to help, don't just sit and do nothing, we had seconds to spare. We must do better."

Signed:
Tactical Response Team Captain Knox

"Operative 'Jay' is to stay out of any bomb defusal situations, I don't need someone hovering over my shoulder when I try to defuse an IED" - TRT Captain Knox
